Optimizing Nutrition

                    Holistic Cooking Series                     


These classes are designed to engage students in the learning process with hands-on, practical experience while providing sound, holistic nutrition knowledge.  Class size limited to 8 students.  All levels of cooking experience welcome – novice to chefs alike!   Some dates for classes have been made, while others are to come.  

What whole foods are - stocking cupboards, shopping tips & reading labels.  
Raw Foods, Juicing & Seasonal Soups - maximizing enzyme, vitamin & mineral rich foods. 
Vegetables – quality, diversity, selection, preparation & presentation.    Optimizing nutrient value – vegetables as the dinner star - food as living art. 
Proteins – quality, diversity & selection, healthful preparation options for animal products & vegetarian protein options.   
Fats – quality, diversity & selection, storage,  healthful use of oils & fats for cooking, baking & raw food consumption.  


Healthy Baking w/ Gluten Free options - guilt free, satisfying & nutritious  sweets for the whole family to enjoy.  


Legumes, Lentils & Whole grains – quality, diversity & selection,          healthful preparation – levels of nutrient value.  

Knife skills, tools & equipment for your holistic kitchen, Healthy snacking &     Tips for eating out/on the run.

Recipes will be provided for each session.  We'll discuss nutrition while food preparations take place, giving students lots of opportunity to improve their knife & kitchen tool skills.  All while learning more about nutrition in a fun and interactive way.  Come and enjoy the the whole foods experience with fellow like-minded people.


Advanced Registration Required.  Each class is limited to 6 participants.


Register for individual classes: $38 per class

Register for 4 or more classes: $35 per class


$10 Deposit required to hold your space in class.

Once you are registered in class you will receive a confirmation email.  The week of the class you'll receive more specific information about the class you are attending and anything you may need to bring with you, outlining more specific details about the series and what to expect.
