Crooked Lane Farms
Lovingly tapped, boiled by woodfired evaporator from trees on the farm.
Bill & Kathy Fowler (Jo's Parents) live on 100 acres of land in Hartington. They live and work parts of the farm and each year they prepare for maple syrup. Trees for take down are selected with responsible forestry measures in mind. Cut & split, stacked and dried in preparation for the following syrup season. The evaporator is tended lovely with wood fire by Bill, then bottled with the same love, care and attention to the traditional practices as possible. From their home to yours.
Variety of sizes are available each season in both plastic jugs and select glass bottles.
Maple Syrup will last for prolonged periods of time (years) when un-opened. Bottles are best kept in a cool, dark place until opened. Once opened best kept refrigerated. You can purchase a larger volume bottle, decant what you need to be stored in the fridge, with the remaining larger bottle kept in the freezer to extend life without damage to the syrup. It can be frozed and thawed repeated without any ill effects. Yay for tree syrup!
